A 1988 Tinker Hatfield Air JD 3 sketch comes off the page and into reality for the first time ever. This Tinker edition shows off Hatfield’s unique idea to utilize a swoosh on the lateral profile . with a stitched logo on the medial side. These details were removed in the final Air JD 3 design in favor of a more clean look. Launched on the designer’s birthday in 2018 . Tinker’s signature can be found stitched on the inside of the tongue as well as on the box top and hang tag.

The AJ3 was the first of numerous Air JDs designed by Tinker Hatfield and the debut of the Jumpman logo on the tongue. This ‘Knicks Rivals’ retro . released in September 2019 . stays true to the original silhouette with a white tumbled leather upper . elephant print on the toe cap and heel .
